What this is for
A supplier review in Velstrian Buy is a structured check in on how a supplier is doing, held at set points during a contract. Regular reviews are a core part of supplier relationship management, the work of keeping an awarded contract on track. They give both public and private buyers an agreed moment to look at performance, raise concerns and agree what happens next.
Where a review lives
A review session is a record inside a single supplier's record, not a separate screen in the menu. You open the supplier, go to the reviews area, and a review session opens on that view. Keeping the review attached to the supplier means the discussion, and anything agreed in it, stays with the right contract rather than drifting into a general notes pile. You only see suppliers belonging to your own organisation.
Step by step
- Open Velstrian Buy and go to your suppliers.
- Open the supplier you want to review.
- Go to the Reviews area for that supplier.
- Open or start a review session. It opens on the supplier record, so the supplier stays in context.
- Work through the review and record the outcome, then close the session.
What happens next
A completed review becomes part of the supplier's history, alongside scorecards, risks and commitments. Over several reviews you build a clear record of how the relationship has gone, which helps at renewal time or when deciding future work.
Reviews and scorecards together
A review is the conversation, and a scorecard is the measure. Used together they give a rounded view: the scorecard shows how the numbers moved, and the review captures why and what you agreed to do about it. Holding both inside the same supplier record means you are never hunting across different parts of the product to prepare for a meeting, and the full story of a contract stays in one place from award to renewal.
Common problems
A review will not open for a supplier that is not yours: each session is checked against the supplier it belongs to, so you cannot open one for a supplier outside your organisation. A review opens on the supplier record rather than as its own page: that is by design, to keep the review tied to the supplier. You cannot find a past review: open the supplier first, then its Reviews area, because reviews are stored inside the supplier record rather than in a separate list.
