What this is for
The Integrations hub is where you connect Velstrian Tenderworks to the other tools your organisation already uses, so information moves between them without copy and paste. You reach it from Settings. Like Workflows, Integrations is a plan level capability. It is included on the Portfolio plan and is a paid add on for the Pro plan, and on any other plan the connectors show an honest locked state rather than controls that cannot work.
What you can connect
- Automation webhooks: send events from Velstrian Tenderworks to automation tools such as Zapier and Make, which can then do the next thing in a tool of your choice. A webhook is just a message your workspace sends to another service when something happens.
- Customer records, push only: connect a customer relationship management system, HubSpot or Salesforce, using your own account credentials. This connection is push only, so Velstrian Tenderworks sends information out to it and does not read your customer database back in.
- Document sources, read only: connect a document store, SharePoint, OneDrive or Confluence, again with your own credentials. This connection is read only, so Velstrian Tenderworks can read documents you point it at and does not write back to your store.
Step by step
- Open Integrations from Settings.
- Pick the connector you want, for example the webhook panel, the customer records panel or the document sources panel.
- Follow that connector's steps, supplying your own credentials where it asks for them.
- If your plan does not include the connector, read its locked panel to see the plan that adds it.
What happens next
A connected tool keeps working in the background. The direction of each connection is deliberate: customer records go out only, and document sources come in only, so each tool keeps the single job it is built for.
Common problems
A connector is locked: your plan does not include Integrations, and the panel names the plan that unlocks it. Pricing and upgrades are an owner decision through billing. A credential is refused: the customer records and document connectors use your own account's credentials, so check them in the source tool first. Never paste a password or key into a tender answer or any other free text field.
