What this is for

Velstrian Tenderworks tells you about things that matter, such as a bid deadline getting close, a colleague mentioning you or a reviewer asking for changes. You choose which of these reach your inbox. Email is the only channel used for these alerts today.

Your notification history

The recent changes list on Home and the notification bell in the header lead to your notification history, where you can look back at what happened and when. Use it when you missed an email or want to find a change someone made.

Step by step

  1. Open Settings, then Notifications.
  2. Work down the four groups. Switch each alert on or off with its toggle.
  3. Choose how often you want email, if your plan offers a frequency choice.
  4. Check that the page says all changes saved. Changes save by themselves, with no save button.

The four groups

  • Deadlines and reminders keep a bid moving before its submission date. They cover the bid deadline reminder, the monthly evidence reminder for active contracts and the getting started nudges, such as a reminder that you have not uploaded a tender yet.
  • Team activity sends an email when you are mentioned, replied to or given a question to answer, and when a reviewer signs off, asks for changes or rejects your work.
  • Updates and reports covers changes to procurement rules that affect your bids, the reports you have scheduled by email, and tips and product news. You can switch off the tips and news and still receive emails about your account and billing.
  • Security emails, such as a new sign in or a password change, are always on to protect your account and cannot be switched off.

Good to know

Alerts follow the products you hold. The same settings apply whether your work is public or private. If a setting shows coming soon, it is not live yet and nothing is sent for it. If a setting shows an upgrade note, the choice belongs to a larger plan.

If it goes wrong

If the page says it could not load your preferences, it shows none on purpose, because defaults would not be yours. Your saved settings are unchanged and editing stays off until the page loads, so reload it. If a change could not be saved, the page says so and offers a retry, and your other settings stay as they were. If an email you expect never arrives, check the alert is switched on, check your spam folder and look at the address on your profile.
