What this is for

Two settings pages shape Velstrian Tenderworks for you alone. Profile holds details about you. Appearance holds how the app looks and how it shows dates and times. Neither changes anything for your colleagues.

Your profile

  1. Open Settings, then Profile.
  2. Check your name and job title. A name is required.
  3. Add or change your profile photo. You can crop it before you save. If you remove it, your initials show instead and you must upload the photo again to bring it back.
  4. Choose your currency. It is used for indicative figures across the product, for private and public work alike. Billing is always invoiced in pounds sterling whatever you choose.
  5. To change your sign in email, use the email form on the page. Your current address keeps working until you confirm the new one.

Appearance

  1. Open Settings, then Appearance.
  2. Pick a theme: System follows your device, Light is always light and Dark is always dark. The change shows straight away.
  3. Pick a colour palette. Each palette has a light and a dark version, and the theme chooses between them. Your choice is saved to your account, so it follows you to every device you sign in on.
  4. Under Display, check your time zone. The page offers the one your browser reports, and you can pick another.

Why the time zone matters

Deadlines, reminders and recent changes are shown in your time zone. A wrong time zone makes a deadline look an hour or more earlier or later than it is, which matters when a tender closes at a set time. Set it once and check it after you travel.

If it goes wrong

If a change on Appearance could not be saved to your account, the page says it was applied on this device only and offers a retry. If your saved time zone could not be read, the page says so and pauses the control until you reload. If the profile page says it could not save, check that your name is filled in and try again. The details of your organisation, such as its name and type, are changed in the organisation settings by an owner or an admin, not here.
